Den allmänna lagen
Det här är ett av de inlägg som jag egentligen hade hoppats slippa skriva. Ibland får jag en släng av önsketänkande och vill tro att världen vi lever i inte är så förutsägbart mekanisk. Men, som de flesta andra av naturens lagar är “Den allmänna lagen” verkligen en lag som inte kan brytas, även om jag inte har den blekaste aning om hur den kan fungera. Den är helt klart ett av de mest bisarra inslagen i den esoteriska världen, även om den rent konceptuellt sett känns rätt naturlig.
Vad är då “Den allmänna lagen“? Ironiskt nog, med tanke på tidigare inlägg, handlar den om evolution. Det är en av de faktorer som ser till att det finns en inbyggd tröghet i hela systemet. Boris Mouravieff beskriver den i första volymen av “Gnosis” på följande sätt:
What then is the meaning of human life in this Cosmos as we know it? Mans’s existence has two main purposes:
- as an element of the universal organism, it serves the aims of the latter;
- as an isolated individual, he can pursue his own aims.
To better understand why and how these two objectives are bound together let us take an example:
The position of man in the Universe is analogous to that of a cell in the human body. Each cell is a part of an organ which, in its turn, is an element, of a group of organs, that assures proper accomplishment of some definite function of the organism.
From this point of view, let us examine the lot of a cell in our bodies. It is subject to two categories of laws. To simplify, let us say that it is placed under the rule of two laws.
The first keeps the cell in its place. In esoteric science we call it the General Law. The second leaves a certain liberty of action for the cell, and is called the Law of Exception.
The first law, which is conservative, ensures that the organ of which this cell is a part accomplishes its function with no impediment. To this end, the first condition is that during their lives the cells which compose the organ fulfil the role given them. This law obliges these cells to remain in their own places, to complete their work, and to dedicate their lives to it.
It is evident that if this law did not keep the cells of the body within the limits of each organ, if it did not oblige them to fulfil their function, the latter would not be able to exist. Thus this law is beneficial; by ensuring the existence of the organs, it permits the whole body to endure.
We know, however, that the total removal of certain organs of the body is compatible with survival. In the current state of our knowledge it even seems that removal of some of them leads to no serious functional inconvenience. Even more; the organism tolerates partial resection of some organs without compromising the roles played by the latter in the general economy. This shows that the disappearance of a few cells, an infinitesimal part of an organ, goes unnoticed: its functioning is not impaired. As the essential role of the General Law is to watch over continuity of function, this disappearance passes unnoticed by it. Therefore it places no further obstacles. Symbolically, one can say that cells which escape from this law now enter the domain of the Law of Exception.
This escape of a few cells is a phenomenon which occurs constantly. All our cells from tyhe epidermic to the nerbous are constantly renewed according to different and variable rhythms. In addition to this renewal from within, there are also disappearances, compensated or not compensated for by new units.
För de som på allvar ger sig in i esoteriska studier, och (Gud förbjude) försöker sig på att applicera dessa i dagliga livet, vilket i förlängningen har som mål att bryta sig loss från den hopplösa situation som vi befinner oss i, är det således en lag att det förr eller senare kommer en “reaktion” från omgivningen. Varje aktion har en reaktion, och för en cell som försöker ta sig ut från den sociala programmering som vi alla utsätts för är det givet att det inte kan tillåtas. Om inte annat så för att de som fortfarande har kvar sina illusioner om vår verklighet inte kan tillåta sig själv att acceptera att någon annan har en annan uppfattning; det skulle ju kunna innebära att “JAG har fel”. Och det är ett stort fett tabu i dagens samhälle att ha fel! Kom ihåg Don Juans beskrivning av hur vårt mänskliga psyke konstruerades:
[…] In order to keep us obedient and meek and weak, the predators engage themselves in a stupendous maneuver-stupendous, of course, from the point of view of a fighting strategist. A horrendous maneuver from the point of view of those who suffer it. They gave us their mind! Do you hear me? The predators give us their mind, which becomes our mind. The predators’ mind is baroque, contradictory, morose, filled with the fear of being discovered any minute now.[…]

The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
Och det är exakt detta beroende som får dessa “vanliga” människor att reagera mot det som är “annorlunda”. En hel del av er som läser detta kom säkerligen från ett eller annat dylikt inlägg på andra bloggar, som motsätter sig de “knasiga” och “tokiga” idéer som jag beskriver här. Det är fullständigt normalt, och samtidigt helt förutsägbart. Och det är med avseende på dessa blogginlägg som jag skriver detta, eftersom de på ett alldeles underbart sätt exemplifierar den relativt abstrakta princip som Mouravieff beskriver.
Med detta som bakgrund, vilket alltså är en lag vars effekt har som mål att neutralisera alla former av diversifiering, är det alltså klart spännande att diskutera just evolution. Om systemet som helhet - egentligen även utan esoteriska principer som faktorer - vill få alla enskilda celler att “stanna på sin plats”, krävs det med andra ord mer än bara energi till förändringen i sig. Energi måste samtidigt användas till att undvika de reaktioner som fås från det omliggande systemet, vars syfte är att säkerställa stabilititeten i systemet som helhet. Detta är en av de anledningar till att vi människor har levt, och kommer att leva, i en cyklisk verklighet, snarare än i en linjärt framåtskridande. Evolutionen, i klassisk Darwinsk tappning, har bromsats upp och i princip avstannat helt. Alla former av tecken till förändring är illusioner, då förändringarna leder i cirkel. Vårt samhälles utveckling de senaste hundratalet åren är ett bra exempel. Vi började med det religiösa kontrollsamhället, har nu gått över till ett vetenskapligt kontrollsamhälle (som varken är bättre eller sämre, utan bara fokuserar mer på det mentala än det känslomässiga), och verkar nu vara på väg tillbaka till ett religiöst kontrollsamhälle, åtminstone om den kristna fundamentalistiska sekten som leder landet i väst får sin vilja igenom. Allt går igen bara man väntar tillräckligt länge, som det heter.
Det finns mer att säga om den allmänna lagen, och hur man hanterar dess effekter, men de som är intresserade av ämnet borde med ovanstående i åtanke relativt enkelt kunna hitta de svaren på egen hand.
